AFI Europe said on Tuesday that it has secured a new €74.5 mln credit facility from Deutsche Pfandbriefbank to refinance an existing loan by Deutsche Bank secured against its German portfolio.

The transaction involves AFI’s entire portfolio of more than 30 properties in the residential, retail, hotel and mixed-use sectors spread across 10 German cities.

Dentons’ Global Real Estate team advised on the deal.

Earlier this year, AFI Europe also inked the refinancing of Business Park Varna in Bulgaria as well as the restructuring of the debt backed by AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping centre in Bucharest, Romania.

A consortium of banks including Deutsche Pfandbriefbank, Erste Group and Raiffeisen Bank granted a €220 mln loan to refinance the 81,000 m2 AFI Palace Cotroceni.
