AFI Europe has signed the largest rental contract of 2013 in Romania with the lease of its entire Afi Park 2 office development to occupier Electronic Arts.

AFI Park 2 offers a built-up area of 20,000 m2 and a gross leasable area of 12,200 m2. It is the second of five office buildings which form the AFI Park office development situated next to the AFI Palace Cotroceni shopping mall in Bucharest.

AFI Park 2 is aiming for LEED Gold certification and is scheduled to be delivered in April 2014.

Jones Lang LaSalle advised Electronic Arts while The Advisors/Knight Frank acted for AFI Europe.

David Hay, CEO of AFI Europe Romania said the company plans to commence construction of AFI Park 4 and 5 next year, based on the strong interest shown by multinational companies in AFI Park.

'The entire second building has now been leased and we are in advanced negotiations for a 6,000 m2 prelease in the third office building, AFI Park 3, which is currently under construction and expected to be completed by the end of 2014,' he noted.
