AFA Fastigheter has acquired the HSB head office on Fleminggatan in Stockholm from its owner and occupier for an undisclosed amount.
Originally built in 1939-40, the building has since served as the headquarters of the Swedish Cooperative Housing Association HSB.
HSB will continue to occupy around 82% of the total space or 11,500 m2.
AFA said it plans to completely renovate the building. 'The property is a great addition to our current portfolio. We get a good, stable and long-term income stream, which is consistent with our investment philosophy,' said Kristina Sawjani, transaction manager at AFA.
'The sale is part of an increased focus on our core business, the realisation of condominiums for the HSB members,' said HSB Project Partners CEO Matias Lindberg.
Catella Corporate Finance acted as advisor to the seller.
