Mahdi Mokrane, former head of research at AEW Europe, has joined LaSalle Investment Management.
Mahdi Mokrane, former head of research at AEW Europe, has joined LaSalle Investment Management.
He starts as head of research and strategy, Europe at LaSalle in the summer.
Mokrane will be based in London and will oversee European property investment strategy. He will work closely with LaSalle’s 25-person global strategy team across its three regions, which analyses capital markets, regional economies and property markets in 150 metropolitan areas and 30 countries.
In his new position Mokrane will report to Jacques Gordon, global strategist based in Chicago, and LaSalle's European CEO Simon Marrison.
Mokrane will sit on LaSalle’s UK investment committee, European investment committee and will be a member of LaSalle’s European management board.
Mokrane joins from AEW Europe, where he was head of research and strategy and a member of the company’s European investment committee and global securities allocation committee. He worked closely on real estate transactions in both UK and Continental European markets. Prior to joining AEW, he worked at IPD in France as director for research and training from 2001 to 2004.
LaSalle, a member of the New York-listed Jones Lang LaSalle group, has $47 bn (€36 bn) of assets under management of private and public property equity investments.
