Commercial property lending specialist Aeriance Investments has appointed Seb Sims and Neil Sargent as associate director and general counsel respectively.
Sims joins Aeriance as an associate director with over 10 years’ of experience in structured real estate finance covering origination, structuring, syndication and restructuring across Europe. He joins from RBS where he was most recently a director on its real estate restructuring team, responsible for managing a portfolio of loans across the UK and Europe.
In this role he led on the restructuring of £3.5 bn (€4.9 bn) of transactions, and acted as adviser to the servicer of the EPIC securitisation series. Prior to this, he worked at Nationwide Building Society.
Sargent, who takes on the role of legal counsel at Aeriance, has over seven years’ of experience in handling a variety of high value, cross border financial transactions. He joins Aeriance from the London office of an international law firm where he acted for a variety of investment banks, UK clearing banks, specialised commercial real estate lenders and alternative credit providers.
