Belgian healthcare property REIT Aedifica has acquired the newly constructed Leopoldspark rest home in Belgium, along with the company that owns the site, RL Invest, for around €21 mln.
Completed earlier in March, the Leopoldspark site is part of a residential and retail development project in Leopoldsburg, a community with 15,000 inhabitants in the Limburg province of Belgium.
The site includes 128 units and 22 assisted-living apartments.
Aedifica originally signed a preliminary agreement to acquire the project in December 2014.
The site is operated by an entity of private senior care operator Vulpia Group on the basis of a 27-year triple net long lease. The asset reflects a net rental yield of 5.5%.
