Advent International has long been active in the Central and Eastern European market, launching its first fund in the region in 1994. In 2008 the company set up its fourth CEE fund, ACEE IV, which has a EUR 1 bn war chest for investment in the region.

In Croatia, a consortium of Trigranit and civil engineering Group Ingra is putting the Sports Arena complex located in southwestern Zagreb for sale. The property is let on a 30-year lease to the city of Zagreb and the Government of the Republic of Croatia. The sellers are said to be in talks with a number of UK opportunistic investors and private individuals.

Trigranit and Ingra were awarded the construction of the multi-purpose sports hall in 2007. The complex has capacity for 15,600 viewers and its construction represents the first phase of the Arena Centar shopping centre which is currently being developed by TriGranit.
