Venture capital firm Admar SCR has launched a €70 mln fund, H2 Health & Hospitality FCRF, to invest in Portugal and internationally.
Half of the funds will support private healthcare (hospitals, clinics, long-term care), and the other half will back hospitality businesses and tourism-related technologies and services.
The fund will primarily focus on Portugal, investing at least 70% of its capital in both startups and established businesses. The remaining portion may be invested internationally. The minimum investment for participation is €100,000.
The fund benefits from the expertise of industry veterans. Onyria Group’s 40+ years of experience in tourism will guide hospitality investments, while healthcare investments will draw on the insights of Luís Miguel Farinha, a consultant for CUF Hospitals and Clinics.
João Cota Dias, administrator of Admar SCR, commented: ‘The launch of this fund is a significant milestone in our strategy to diversify investments and contribute to the development of key economic sectors in Portugal. We are thrilled to provide our investors with access to high-potential opportunities in healthcare and tourism, fostering economic growth and creating long-term value.’
The launch of H2 Health & Hospitality FCRF builds on the success of its 2021 Golden Estate FCRF, focused on real estate, tourism, and renewable energy.
Admar SCR is led by João Cota Dias, Pedro Carvalho de Almeida, and Lourenço Carvalho de Almeida. Specializing in high-growth investments across various sectors, they currently manage three funds and plan to expand further.
