International industrial property investor Accolade is expanding its portfolio with a new warehouse park in Ruda Slaska, Upper Silesia, Poland.
The €55 mln warehouse park will have a total area of 67,000 m2, consisting of two buildings situated on a 13.5-hectare plot of land.
Most of the warehouse space in the first building has already been leased to logistics services company Regesta, a logistics services company.
Like all new investments in Accolade's portfolio, the property will have a minimum BREEAM 'Excellent' certification.
Jarek Wnuk, managing director of Accolade in Poland, said: ‘Upper Silesia is an incredibly attractive market that has held a strong position in the warehouse sector since the early days of its development in Poland. We especially value the enormous potential of this location, its infrastructure, and its rich human capital. These factors attract companies looking to do business in this region and expand. We hope that our investments will help them to continue to grow in this market, whilst offering tenants the best conditions for their businesses.’
The park is conveniently located close to the A4 motorway, providing easy access to Germany and cities in western Poland, as well as the A1 highway and the Czech border. It is also just a 20-minute drive from Katowice, the capital of Upper Silesia, and Katowice International Airport.
Accolade already has one warehouse park in Upper Silesia, located in Czestochowa.
The region is the second largest warehouse market in Poland, after Warsaw, accounting for 20% of all signed leases in the country.
