Aberdeen Property Investors' Luxembourg based Aberdeen Property Nordic Fund I SICAV has made two acquisitions and exceeded its target equity size of EUR 200mln. The fund has bought a 5,877 m[sup]2[/sup] office property within Plaza Business Park in Vantaa, Finland, from the Helsinki Metropolitan area. The eight-storey Plaza Piano property was constructed in 2001 and is fully let. The financial details of this transaction were not disclosed.

Aberdeen Property Investors' Luxembourg based Aberdeen Property Nordic Fund I SICAV has made two acquisitions and exceeded its target equity size of EUR 200mln. The fund has bought a 5,877 m2 office property within Plaza Business Park in Vantaa, Finland, from the Helsinki Metropolitan area. The eight-storey Plaza Piano property was constructed in 2001 and is fully let. The financial details of this transaction were not disclosed.

The fund has also purchased the Filbytergallerian shopping centre ocated in Linköping, Sweden, for EUR 41mln. Constructed in the early 1970s, the mall was refurbished in 2008 and offers 16,428 m2 of retail, office and leisure space on six floors.

Magnus Kenning, of Aberdeen Property Investors said: 'Linköping is an attractive market for property investors, together with Norrköping the city has a catchment area of approximately half a million inhabitants. ByggVesta has made Filbytergallerian the best galleria in Linköping and we look forward to the inauguration in August. We are now searching for additional centrally located office properties and city gallerias in the south and middle of Sweden.'

Following the latest acquisitions, the fund is now 51% invested, having exceeded its equity target with a committed capital of EUR 210mln at the fourth closing in April. Investors in the fund are primarily well-known German insurance companies and the minimum investment is EUR 25mln.
