Property funds managed by Aberdeen Asset Management closed transactions worth a combined EUR 40 mln in Finland during the third quarter.
The acquisitions included a logistics property in Hämeenlinna and a retail asset in Seinäjoki. Aberdeen funds also divested a retail unit in Helsinki and a mixed-use building in Turku. The capital from the sales will be reinvested or returned to the fund's investors, depending on the fund's strategy.
Ari Anttonen, head of Investment Management at Aberdeen Finland, commented: 'Despite the challenging markets our funds were able to actively execute both acquisitions as well as sales during the beginning of the autumn. Our funds are looking for a number of new investments and we have a good pipeline of disposals as well.'
According to KTI Finnish Property Information, the deals accounted for over 10% of all the transactions reported in Finland over that period.
