Bank of America Merrill Lynch has syndicated €65 mln of mezzanine debt secured against the Coeur Défense tower in Paris, according to reports.

BAML made a €935 mln loan to US private equity firm Lone Star in February to help it finance the €1.3 bn purchase of the 350,000 m² office block.

The €65 mln figure represents half the total mezzanine debt secured against the building. Austrian bank BAWAG is believed to have taken the debt, according to Real Estate Capital News.

Bank of America Merrill Lynch declined to comment.
