GLOBAL - Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors, Hammerson, Aberdeen Asset Management

Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) - Malaysian born See Lian Ong has been elected as the first non-British president of the RICS. Lian Ong, who was elected in March this year, will replace president Robert Peto. Three vice-presidents will serve alongside Lian Ong: Martin Bruehl - managing partner of Cushman & Wakefield in Germany - Louise Brooke-Smith and Chris Fossick. The president and three vice-presidents are fellows of RICS.

Hammerson - Martin Jepson, head of Hammerson's London Group, has decided to leave the company. Executive director and chief investment officer Peter Cole will fill the role temporarily. Jepson joined Hammerson as managing director of London Group in April 2008. Prior to this, he was UK managing director of Howard Holdings from 2005 to 2008.

Aberdeen Asset Management - The Scottish asset management company has appointed Melissa Reagen as head of property research for the Americas. Reagen, who will report to Andrew Allen, director of global property research, joins from LaSalle Investment Management, where she has worked since 2005. At LaSalle, Reagen was lead strategist on the US multi-family portfolio and provided multi-sector advice to the $2bn (€1.4bn) LaSalle US Property fund. She will start at Aberdeen on 20 July and be responsible for property research across the Americas.
