​People moves: Former Doughty Hanson head joins Cornerstone

Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers, Valad Europe, IVG Immobilien, Internos Global Investors, Round Hill Capital, Avison Young

Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers – Julian Gabriel, the former head of real estate at Doughty Hanson, has joined as part of Cornerstone’s ongoing expansion in Europe. He will be responsible for new investment and development opportunities across the region.

Valad Europe – Simon Marriott has joined as head of UK real estate, looking after investment and development in the country. The former PwC director has also worked at Oxford Properties, MGPA and Invista REIM.

IVG Immobilien – The supervisory board has decided to appoint Oliver Priggemeyer to the management board as chief operating officer. The role was being managed on an interim basis by chief financial officer. Priggemeyer was previously chief executive officer of IC Immobilien Holding.

Internos Global Investors – Daniele Calogiuri has joined the Milan office to support Internos’ plans to grow in the Italian market. Calogiuri, appointed head of asset and transactions, has spent the past eight years at AXA Real Estate, most recently as fund manager.

Round Hill Capital – Ben Segelman has joined as head of asset management. He will lead the practice across all platforms and geographies. Segelman was previously global portfolio manager at Ashmore Investment Management.

Avison Young – The Canadian real estate company has opened its first office in Germany. Udo Stoecki, who joined in 2011, is now managing director and principal. He will lead German operations from Frankfurt.
