CBRE Global Investors – John Thomas has joined as a senior managing director, overseeing the company’s North American logistics investment strategy. Thomas was previously founder and president of Hillwood Investment Properties’s European logistics platform. He previously served as global CIO and director of European operations for Panattoni Development Company. He was also co-founder and chief real estate officer for Clarion Partners’s Lion Industrial Trust, and held senior roles with Crow Holdings and Trammell Crow Company.

Norges Bank – The sovereign wealth fund has appointed Christian Ringnes and Petter Fredrik Neslein as external members of its real estate investment board. Ringnes is principal shareholder and chief executive at the real estate companies Eiendomsspar and Victoria Eiendom. Neslein is the owner and chief executive of real estate company Pecunia, which manages and develops commercial and residential properties in central Oslo.

Savills Investment Management – Tasnia Aurongonzeb has been named compliance manager, and Lucy Matthams head of HR. Aurongonzeb will oversee Savills IM’s compliance processes in the UK and abroad. Prior to joining Savills IM, she was compliance manager at Curzon Advisers and has also worked for Barclays Wealth Management. Matthams joins from Land Securities, where she was an HR business partner for its London portfolio and corporate services.

Aviva Investors – Isabel Sheppard has joined the real estate team in London. Sheppard will work on the development and asset management of central London properties across Aviva Investors funds. She joins from Cushman & Wakefield

Cushman & Wakefield – Ed Neild has been appointed head of portfolio development in the EMEA global occupier services team. Neild joins Cushman & Wakefield from Colliers International, where he was head of strategy. Colette Temmink has joined as executive managing director of Integrated Facilities Management (IFM) for global occupier services in the Americas, while Chris Browne has been appointed president of client service delivery. Derrick Bock has joined as head of workplace strategy in Germany in the global occupier services EMEA team. Prior to joining Cushman & Wakefield, Derrick was head of workplace design at eBay.

CBRE – The firm’s EMEA Hotels and Capital Advisors teams have created a corporate finance initiative focused on the hotels sector. Philip Cropper, vice-chairman at EMEA Hotels, and Ian Corfield, head of corporate finance at EMEA Hotels, will lead the initiative. Corfield joins from Grant Thornton, where he was a partner.
