Bfinance – Anish Butani has been appointed as an infrastructure research director. He joins from KPMG Corporate Finance in London. Butani will work with Peter Hobbs and be responsible for providing input on the company’s infrastructure research services.
Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance – Hugo van Dijk has been appointed business development manager. He will be responsible for obtaining new real estate and mortgage mandates from international institutional investors. Van Dijk has worked for Deutsche Asset Management and Zwitserleven en Theodoor Gilissen Bankiers.
Rockspring Property Investment Managers – John Thompson has been named managing director of Rockspring Iberia. James Preston, former managing director, is stepping down. Thompson joined Rockspring Iberia as a director in 2006. Prior to joining Rockspring Iberia, Thompson was equity partner and head of investment at King Sturge in Spain.
Association of Real Estate Funds – Sarah Cockburn has joined the Association of Real Estate Funds’ (AREF) education and training committee. Cockburn is Kames Capital’s head of unit linked property funds.
Zinsbaustein – Volker Wohlfarth has joined the firm’s management team as managing director for marketing, products and IT. He succeeds Steffen Harting, who has left the company. Wohlfarth has held positions at ImmobilienScout24 and the Scout Group. Prior to that, Wohlfarth was in charge of internationalisation, marketing and business development at rental portal ‘erento’.
Genesta – Helena Brejke has been recruited as human resources manager in Stockholm from Siemens.
CBRE – Phil Cann has been appointed as UK head of investment properties. Cann, with CBRE since 2005, currently leads CBRE’s UK retail team. That role will be taken by Rhodri Davies, head of UK retail investment. Davies joined CBRE in 2010 and advises many of the largest shopping centre, retail park and factory outlet investors in the UK.
Colliers International – Niels Schiander has been named head of corporate finance and capital markets in Denmark. Based in Copenhagen, he joins from EY Mergers & Acquisitions where he was a director. He has also worked for Deloitte’s corporate finance team.
Cushman & Wakefield – Darren Yates and Lisa Graham have been named sector specialists covering retail and logistics. Yates is returning to Cushman & Wakefield where he worked previously on European retail between 1996 and 2011. He spent five years at Knight Frank and 18 months at Carter Jonas. Graham who has worked as an independent sector-specialist since heading up European research at ProLogis from 2003 to 2011. Prior to that, she was a financial analyst at Lazard Capital Markets. Yates will be based in London while Graham will work primarily from Paris.
