Altarea-Cogedim has bought a French retail asset from Orion Capital.

The Qwartz centre near Paris was sold by Orion on behalf of its European Real Estate Fund III.

Orion had jointly funded the development of the 86,000 sqm scheme, which opened to the public in April last year.

The two firms first agreed to develop the centre in 2009, with construction beginning in 2011. The companies had equal stakes in the devleopment.

The centre is now worth €400m and is fully-let, Altarea said.

The asset is anchored by a Carrefour hypermarket and more than 160 tenants including Marks & Spencer and Primark.
