Chris Reilly has resigned as head of Asia-Pacific at Nuveen Real Estate and will be replaced temporarily by Nick Evans.

Reilly, who had been with the firm for more than a decade, left last month, citing personal reasons.

“Chris left to spend more time with his family and to pursue other interests and opportunities,” said a Nuveen Real Estate spokeswoman.

Evans, head of Australia, has become the interim of managing director for Asia-Pacific.

Evans has overseen expansion of Nuveen’s Australian operations, including a move into real estate debt, since opening an office for the firm in Sydney in 2014.

He continues to have oversight of Australia.

Reilly was based in Singapore but Evans will continue to be based in Sydney. There are no current plans for him to relocate, the spokeswoman said.

“He visits the other offices regularly, and we have senior leadership representation across all our regional offices,” she said.
