ING Real Estate and Deutsche Hypo have led a €325m refinancing for Dutch residential real estate company Woonhave.

The refinancing will help support and expand Woonhave’s portfolio of more than 2,000 residential units in the Netherlands.

Mark van den Berg, managing partner at Woonhave, said: “Woonhave continues to seek, develop and build on credible long-standing relationships, aiming to add more residential units to the Woonhave portfolio. In recent years, our growth came mainly from newly-built investment product. We will continue the growth in this segment as we aim to be relevant in adding more housing to the Dutch residential market, despite the various complicating circumstances.

“Selecting and working with the best partners in the market is instrumental to our approach and we are grateful for the confidence ING and Deutsche Hypo continue to put in Woonhave.”

Fokko Dekker, director at ING Real Estate, said: “We are pleased to further support Woonhave through this refinancing. Woonhave is a good example of the successful combination of local expertise, together with institutional investment capital and a long-term commitment to the Dutch real estate market.

“The transaction highlights ING’s ability to provide substantial loan volumes to key clients such as Woonhave.”
