UK property investor Home REIT has invested £92.3m (€107m) to buy 216 properties across England.

The company, which provides accommodation to homeless people, said it has bought 183 additional properties for £84.9m and invested £7.4m in a separate deal to buy 33 additional properties.

Following the acquisition of the properties, the UK-listed company’s portfolio is further diversified across 126 local authorities and 28 tenants.

Gareth Jones, partner at Alvarium Home REIT Advisors, manager of Home REIT, said: “These acquisitions add high-quality beds to our growing portfolio, which is consistent with our strategy of providing fit-for-purpose accommodation for people in the community facing homelessness.

“These transactions represent swift deployment of the equity we raised in an oversubscribed fundraise at the end of May into assets producing long-term, sustainable income.”
