Real estate manager Tishman Speyer has appointed former Prologis CIO Joseph Ghazal to a newly created role to lead its global growth.
Ghazal, who will be based in New York City, will serve as senior managing director and global head of growth, initially focusing on identifying and executing acquisition and development opportunities in the Middle East and expanding the firm’s existing presence in India.
He will be a member of Tishman Speyer’s global investment committee and report directly to CEO Rob Speyer.
Ghazal spent more than two decades in senior leadership roles spanning Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas at global logistics giant Prologis. Most recently, he served as global CIO, overseeing investment strategy, capital deployment and business development, having previously held the role of CIO for Europe.
Rob Speyer said: “Over the last decade, Tishman Speyer has intentionally and successfully doubled down on our growth and diversification strategy. We have entered new international markets, launched a range of investment vehicles and created new product lines.
“As someone who has spent his career doing exactly this, Joseph is perfectly positioned to help spearhead our next era of growth. I am delighted to welcome him to the Tishman Speyer team.”
Ghazal said: “This is an exceptional opportunity to build upon one of the great foundations in global real estate. I look forward to partnering with colleagues across the globe and to leveraging my international experience to further expand Tishman Speyer’s impact and reach.”
