Tishman Speyer has acquired a 12-storey office building in the US from real estate firm EPIC for $105.5m (€92.4m).
Tishman Speyer said the acquisition of the fully-leased 153,000sqft 148 Lafayette Street office building in Manhattan’s SoHo neighbourhood is being partly financed by a $68.3m loan from Blackstone Real Estate Debt Strategies.
The acquisition marks Tishman Speyer’s return to office acquisitions in New York City since 2019, and in the US since 2021.
Albert Schmool, Tishman Speyer’s managing director, said: “148 Lafayette presented us with a compelling opportunity to capitalise on the strengthening New York City office leasing environment by acquiring a top-quality, boutique asset in one of the city’s most dynamic neighbourhoods.
“This acquisition represents the perfect addition to an office portfolio defined by highly-amenitised, best-in-class environments in the world’s most sought-after locations.”
