Texas Municipal Retirement System is among the investors backing Conifer Infrastructure Partners’ oversubscribed inaugural fund, which recently closed at its $900m (€789.5) hard cap.
According to sources familiar with the matter, the pension fund made a $300m commitment to Conifer Infrastructure Partners I, marking its first-ever allocation to the manager.
Conifer recently closed its fund at its hard cap, exceeding its $500m target and holding a single institutional closing process less than five months from launch.
Conifer is a private equity firm that specialises in developing and operating high-growth, resilient infrastructure platforms across the energy and critical materials sectors.
