Stonepeak Infrastructure Partners has hired DJ Gribbin, until recently an adviser to US President Donald Trump.
The infrastructure fund manager, founded in 2011 by former Blackstone executives, has appointed Gribbin as a senior operating partner.
Gribbin, who was special assistant to the President for infrastructure policy, joins soon after the company raised $7.2bn (€6.2bn) for its third infrastructure fund.
Before advising the Trump Administration, Gribbin had worked as chief counsel for the Federal Highway Administration and general counsel for the US Department of Transportation. He also served as head of government advisory at Macquarie Capital.
Stonepeak co-founder Michael Dorrell said Gribbin “possesses market-leading expertise on infrastructure public policy and regulation, and we know him well as a leader of great integrity and depth”.
Fellow co-founder Trent Vichie added: “DJ joins us at an exciting time, with Stonepeak continuing to expand its investment portfolio in critical infrastructure assets.”
