Sonnedix has teamed up with a renewable infrastructure investment fund managed by Amundi to invest in the European solar photovoltaic (PV) market.

Sonnedix said the partnership with Amundi Energies Vertes (AEV) will invest an initial €50m European solar PV market with a plan to invest a similar amount in projects developed or acquired by Sonnedix through a dedicated platform.

The partnership’s debut deal, which involves a mix of operating assets across several European countries, is expected to be completed before the end of the year, Sonnedix said.

Axel Thiemann, CEO of Sonnedix, said: “Our partnership with AEV not only highlights our long-term commitment to our European markets, but also to the solar power industry as a whole, demonstrating our active role in pushing the energy transition forward.”

Carlos Guinand, executive chairman of Sonnedix, said: “It is through strategic partnerships like this that we are capable of continuous sustainable growth, putting our ESG standards and practices at the forefront of our business.”
