SDCL Energy Efficiency Income Trust has raised £135m (€159.5m), exceeding an original plan to raise £100m by issuing new ordinary shares.
Last week, the London-listed energy efficiency project investor announced the proposed £100m fundraising to allow the company to invest in a number of opportunities.
In the latest announcement, SDCL said taking into account the investor demand, the company’s pipeline and its available debt facilities, the board has decided to increase the size of the issue to approximately £135m.
SDCL will issue 118.4m new ordinary shares at a price of 114p each.
SDCL shares in mid-morning trading were up 0.35% at 115.40p, valuing the company at £1.14bn.
