Sacramento County Employees’ Retirement System (SCERS) has backed The Wolff Company for the first time, committing $50m (€44.6m) to the manager’s latest US multifamily strategy.
The commitment to Wolff Credit Partners IV, disclosed in a board meeting document, has been placed within the pension fund’s non-core, value-add real estate portfolio.
As previously reported, Wolff Company is seeking to raise $500m with a $600m hard cap for Partners IV.
The deal marks the pension fund’s first new real estate investment of 2026.
As of the end of September 2026, SCERS had a 5.7% allocation to real estate, compared with an 8% target.
The pension fund has also expanded its real assets lineup with a $55m commitment to Quantum Energy Partners IX, an opportunistic North American energy infrastructure fund.
As previously reported, Quantum Energy Partners is planning to raise $4.5bn for Partners IX.
