RevOZ Capital is planning to invest $1bn (€824.2bn) in US opportunity zone projects over the next three years.
The provider of opportunity zone co-investment capital said it intends to invest the capital into developments in emerging markets across the country.
The plan is to focus exclusively on growing metro areas hit hard by Covid-19 and historically overlooked by traditional private investors with significant potential to attract new residents, employers, and entrepreneurs.
RevOZ said it will focus on long-term opportunities in partnership with local partners.
Lisa Merage, managing partner of RevOZ Capital, said: “There is no better time than now to highlight the importance of investing into overlooked communities.
“We are excited to further our commitments in opportunity Zones across the country and look forward to facilitating the economic growth and positive social impact that will come from these projects.”
RevOZ said it has also launched a new social impact council to advise overall social impact strategy, including the development of new tools and methodologies to ensure strong community engagement, impact assessment, and fund transparency and reporting.
