Real estate fund manager Redevco has bought a logistics fleet facility in the northern English town of Widnes, comprising approximately 560,000sqft across a 17-acre site.
The asset will provide a combination of warehousing and vehicle maintenance functions, reflecting its critical role within the wider automotive logistics network, Redevco said in a statement.
The facility is fully let to Tata Motors-owned Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) and operated by DHL, the German package delivery company, supporting supply-chain operations linked to JLR’s Halewood manufacturing plant in the northwest of England.
Strategically located adjacent to the inland rail freight terminal in Widnes, the site has direct connectivity to key transport infrastructure, enabling efficient distribution and fleet management activities, Redevco said.
One of Europe’s largest privately owned real estate managers, Redevco oversees a portfolio valued at approximately €10.5bn as of 1 April 2026.
It said the acquisition would further strengthen the company’s logistics footprint in industrial outdoor storage (IOS), expanding it to 5.2m sqft and €155m in assets under management across 11 assets.
Hugh Macdonald-Brown, head of Redevco Logistics, said: “This acquisition is a strong addition to our growing logistics platform and underlines our conviction in the IOS sector. Assets of this scale, location and tenant quality are increasingly scarce, yet essential to the efficient functioning of supply chains.
“The Widnes facility combines strategic connectivity with a high-quality occupier, supporting long-term income resilience and future growth potential.”
To date, Redevco Logistics has transacted more than €500m in IOS assets across the UK, Germany, Spain and Belgium, spanning over 16m sqft.
