US-based RCLCO Fund Advisors (RFA) has entered into a strategic global alliance with the real assets investment management arm of Dutch insurer ASR.
The two firms said the tie-up was designed to provide “cross-border investment capabilities” to institutional real estate investors.
RFA is the institutional advisory and investment management arm of RCLCO Real Estate Consulting, and advises on approximately $122bn (€108bn) for pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, endowments, insurance companies and family offices.
ASR Real Assets Investment Partners (ASR IP) manages investments in real estate, infrastructure and natural capital globally on behalf of ASR insurance company and third-party investors.
The two firms said the alliance is structured to “deliver broad market access to a broad range of investment solutions”, including from direct and separate account mandates, co-investments, sidecars, and listed or unlisted strategies, while also sharing market intelligence, and “enhanced execution support to institutional investors” globally”.
Luc Joosten, managing director of ASR IP, said: “Today, real estate investing requires more than access to markets; it demands disciplined stewardship across the full investment cycle.
“This alliance deepens our capabilities by combining RFA’s on-the-ground expertise in the Americas with our longstanding global real estate investment experience and fiduciary approach to investing on behalf of institutional asset owners, including the ASR balance sheet and external clients. Together, we strengthen our ability to identify opportunities, navigate local markets and support long-term investment outcomes.”
Taylor Mammen, CEO of RFA, said: “Institutional investors are increasingly seeking cross-border exposure and therefore seek partners who can deliver genuine local expertise and execution credibility in each region – not just a global brand name.
“This alliance gives our clients a trusted point of contact with deep in-market capabilities on both sides of the Atlantic and beyond. We have long believed that real estate is fundamentally local, and this partnership is built on that principle.”
