NCREIF, Grainger, Liberty Living, Invesco Real Estate, Generali Real Estate, Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance, Provast

NCREIF – Peter Steil is to retire as leader of the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries (NCREIF) in July. Prior to joining NCREIF in 2012, Steil was at Prescott Capital Advisors. He has also served as a managing director and senior executive of Morgan Stanley’s real estate business and was also a partner at RREEF. NCREIF’s chief information officer, Dan Dierking, will become president.

Grainger – John Kenny has been appointed as its chief operating officer. Kenny moves from his role as chief operating officer at Liberty Living, a privately-owned UK student accommodation provider. He joins Grainger in late-spring.

Invesco Real Estate – Cristiano Stampa has joined the firm’s European transaction team as senior director of transactions for France as well as overseeing investments across Southern Europe. Based in Paris, Stampa joins from Generali Real Estate. Prior to this he began his career at the Deutsche Bank Group.

Syntrus Achmea – Walther van Leeuwe has been named manager for retail at the development business of Syntrus Achmea Real Estate & Finance. He joins from developer Provast, where he has been managing complicated projects since 2011. Van Leeuwe will take up the role on 6 March.
