Vantage Infrastructure, Morgan Stanley, Fitch Ratings, Heitman, St Modwen Properties, Cushman & Wakefield, Aviva Investors, LaSalle Investment Management
Vantage Infrastructure – Omar Rahman, Edmund Arulanandam and Oliver Schubert have joined the investment manager’s investment team in London.
Rahman joins the equity team as investment director, focused on originating and executing equity investments. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for Morgan Stanley in London, initially in the investment banking division covering Benelux clients before spending a decade with Morgan Stanley Infrastructure working on European transactions.
Arulanandam joins the equity team as vice president, focused on the asset management of equity investments and transaction execution. He spent a year with the UK government’s Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and prior to that was a vice president at Blue Water Energy.
Bernard joins Vantage’s debt team as an associate, primarily focused on the asset management of debt investments. Prior to joining the firm, Bernard worked as a rating analyst at Fitch Ratings. He previously also worked as an analyst at Société Générale covering project bonds.
Heitman – Jerry Ehlinger has been named senior managing director to lead Heitman’s real estate securities arm. He will also serve on the firm’s global management committee. Ehlinger has been with Heitman for eight years and, for the past five years, has led Heitman’s North American strategies and served as co-portfolio manager for the group’s global strategies.
St Modwen Properties– David Binks has been appointed to the new role of head of leasing. The London-listed developer and regeneration specialist has appointed Binks to lead in identifying national opportunities for the development of group’s industrial and logistics portfolio and strategy. Binks joins from Cushman & Wakefield, where he was partner head of UK Midlands logistics and industrial agency.
Aviva Investors – Mark Versey has been appointed chief investment officer of the newly formed real assets business. The platform has also established its leadership team with the appointment of directors, including Barry Fowler for alternative income, Daniel McHugh for real estate investments and David Skinner for real estate strategy and fund management. Chris Urwin has also been named director of real assets research.
LaSalle Investment Management – Ed Casal is to become head of LaSalle’s enlarged real estate multi-manager business following its acquisition of Aviva Investors’ Real Estate Multi-Manager (REMM). Casal co-founded REMM and was real estate CEO at Aviva Investors.
