Trammell Crow Company – The commercial real estate developer has appointed Dídac Escrivà as director for industrial and logistics investment in Iberia. Based in Madrid, Escrivà will be responsible for originating and executing industrial and logistics investment opportunities across Spain and Portugal, supporting the continued expansion of Trammell Crow’s logistics portfolio in the region following the appointment of Gregg Gilbert last year to lead the platform. He joins from Goodman, where he spent six years as business development manager, leading the identification, structuring and delivery of logistics developments across Spain, with a particular focus on Catalunya and the Barcelona region.
NewRiver REIT – The real estate investment trust focused on UK retail property has appointed Sarah Williams as independent non-executive director and Edith Monfries as an executive director. Williams is a chartered accountant and joins following a 35-year career at EY, including 25 years as a partner. She was most recently risk partner and, from 2024, head of EY’s financial services assurance risk practice. Monfries joined NewRiver in 2015 and has been a member of the executive committee since 2018 and worked as chief operating and people officer. NewRiver said her appointment reflected the increasingly operational nature and scale of the business, including the growth of capital oartnership activities.
Simpson Housing – Jason Kern has joined the Domain Capital-owned company as president and CIO. Kern will report to Simpson Housing CEO Frank Rooney Jr and work closely with the executive team at Domain Capital Group. He will lead Simpson Housing’s investment strategy, portfolio and asset management, and transaction execution. Kern will also collaborate with Domain’s capital formation team to develop and bring new institutional opportunities to market. Prior to taking up his new role, Kern served as president of investment management at Cortland, where he oversaw portfolio management, acquisitions, asset management, research and strategy, development, and capital markets. Previously, he was CEO of the Americas for LaSalle Investment Management, and earlier in his career, he held senior real estate advisory and investment banking roles at HSBC and JP Morgan in the US, Europe and Asia.
Pivot – The UK real estate development lender has made a series of promotions and a hire. Clare Atkins joins as finance director, Chris King is promoted to CIO, Slav Melnikovs is promoted to senior credit manager, and PakSan Wu takes on a newly expanded role as director of strategy and capital. The changes are designed to strengthen Pivot’s leadership as it takes on larger, more complex transactions and enters its next phase of growth.
