Aviva Investors – Sue Jarvis is joining the asset manager’s direct real estate business as retail asset management director. Jarvis will be responsibility for a portfolio of retail assets across the UK. She will work on leasing redesign and managing customer relationships with occupiers. For the past eight years, Jarvis was group property director at the clothing retailer New Look. She has also held roles at Mothercare, Dixons Retail, Debenhams, The Burton Group and Next.
Aegila Capital Management – The European real estate focused investment advisory firm has appointed Laura Mackintosh to head its investor relations. Mackintosh joins from the online real estate investment platform BrickVest, where she managed company’s investor relations and stakeholder engagement. She previously spent eight years at Colony Capital.
JLL – Guzman de Yarza Blache has been appointed head of JLL’s Workplace Strategy business practice in the EMEA. He joined the property consultancy in 2016 as head of workplace strategy and design in Spain, and will continue to cover this role. In his new role, he will advise clients on maximising their real estate portfolios and making workplaces more ‘human-centric’ to help drive performance and engagement.
Residential Secure Income – Richard Stubbs has been appointed CFO of TradeRisks, the parent company of ReSI’s investment manager. Stubbs will be responsible for financial strategy and operations, including across ReSI. He joins from real estate private equity platform Sistema Capital Partners. Prior to that, he held senior positions at fund management businesses Alpha Real Capital and Langham Hall. Julia Eberdal and Sergey Pichugin have joined TradeRisks as an associate director and property analyst respectively. Eberdal will be responsible for investment analysis and financial modelling focused on potential pipeline acquisitions. She joins from financial modelling company Numeritas. She previously worked at Verus Partners, Corality Financial Group and Blackrock. Pichugin will support the asset management function. Pichugin was previously a real estate and investment analyst at Bedale and Beaufort.
Meyer Bergman – The real estate investment manager has hired Lee Purcell as global head of investor relations, Sachin Rupani as head of acquisitions and Marco Riva also as senior vice president for Southern Europe. The trio have been hired as part of the company’s plan to broaden its investment strategy to include last-mile logistics. Riva joins from Logicor, where he worked for five years. Purcell previously led real estate fundraising at The Carlyle Group, where he was a partner and managing director in the investor relations team. Rupani returns to Meyer Bergman, where he worked from 2009 to 2015, following three years at Cale Street Partners. He will be responsible for creating and executing the firm’s European investment strategies.
