Apex Group – The global financial services provider has appointed Michael Sheahan as global head of real estate. Based out of London, Sheahan will lead the group’s real estate service line. He joins from Vistra where he held the role of global sector lead, Real Estate and acted as country managing director, Luxembourg. Prior to this, he held leadership roles with international real estate businesses on the investment and asset servicer sides including managing director – real estate servicing at Citco, finance director - real estate, Cambridge Place Investment Management and European Financial Controller, LaSalle Investment Management.
Pennybacker Capital Management – Liz Weiner is joining the real estate private equity firm as its managing director, capital formation and corporate strategy. Weiner will drive the growth of Pennybacker’s value, credit, income and growth, and separately managed account platforms by expanding the firm’s profile with a global investor base. Weiner will also work closely with Pennybacker’s executive team on capital raising, investor relations, and the development and execution of corporate strategy. She will be based in Pennybacker’s Denver office. She joins Pennybacker from Sundial Park Group, a strategic marketing firm she founded. Before Sundial, she was the co-founder of KAP Group, which pioneered fundraising and investor relations consulting. Prior to her eight years at KAP, she held multiple roles at Credit Suisse, most recently as a vice president in Credit Suisse’s real estate private fund group. Before that, she led the small balance loan program underwriting team in the Real Estate Finance and Securitization Group.
Quest Investment Partners – Ulrich Rössing has joined the board as managing director. Rössing will assume the newly-created position of technical managing director at the operational subsidiary Quest Management. He will be responsible for the technical development, investment management as well as the planning and construction aspects of all projects in Germany. Theja Geyer and Jan Rouven Künzel will remain the managing partners of the parent company Quest Investment Partners. Rössing worked at ECE Projektmanagement in Hamburg for more than twelve years. Most recently, from 2017 to 2020, he served as managing director of DSR Immobilien in Hamburg and Rostock.
Arrow Capital Partners – The investor has launched its strategic industrial real estate business in Ireland and appointed Cormac Dunne as country adviser. He will be responsible for managing Arrow’s investment business in Ireland with a focus on building its portfolio, working closely with Christian Bearman and Katherine Parker, Partners in the European business. Dunne is the founder of Dublin based property and financial advisory firm Pembroke Property and is the former head of real estate Ireland for Pepper Asset Servicing.
Marlin Spring – Jaime McKenna, MD and group head, real estate at Fengate Asset Management, has joined the firm’s advisory board. McKenna leads and is responsible for Fengate’s real estate business and is a member of its executive team. Prior to joining Fengate, McKenna was CIO of Minto Apartment REIT and part of the executive team. She served as a member of multiple investment committees overseeing Minto’s private institutional investments.
