Cromwell Property Group – Alejandro Salcedo has been appointed senior transactions manager for the real estate manager’s €3.9bn European business. Based in London, Salcedo will lead the sourcing and executing of multi-jurisdictional portfolios and corporate acquisitions. Salcedo was a director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch’s real estate, gaming and lodging team responsible for European coverage. Previously, he worked at HSBC Investment Banks based in London, Paris and Sao Paulo.
Orchard Street Investment Management – Alice Murray has joined the specialist commercial property investment manager as an asset manager. Murray will be part of the team responsible for managing Orchard Street’s £2.1bn office and industrial portfolios. She joins from Savills, where she was part of the city agency team.
Delancey – Guy Powdrill has been appointed to lead the UK-focused property firm’s residential investment advisory team. As residential investment director, Powdrill will oversee and assist the growth in Get Living’s portfolio and operations. Powdrill joins from L1 Property. He held previous senior positions at Goldman Sachs, CBRE and Countrywide.
BNP Paribas Real Estate – Michiel Santing has been appointed director of international investment group advisory. Santing will help strengthen the company’s pan-European capabilities with a focus on business development across Europe. He will be based in Amsterdam, where he has been working with BNP Paribas Real Estate since 2011.
Stos Partners – Jay Boyle has been appointed to lead the real estate manager’s new institutional investment initiative. The new venture will focus on growing the company’s platform to more institutional capital and expanding its US footprint. Boyle was a vice president of acquisitions for Locale Advisors. Prior to that, he served as vice president of equity sales for Eastdil Secured.
Relendex – The peer-to-peer lender specialising in the UK property market has appointed Fintan O’Riordan director of lending. He joins from Paragon Bank, where he was head of development finance. He previously spent over a decade at Nationwide in addition to senior lending roles at Bradford & Bingley and Barclays.
Palace Capital – The listed property investor has appointed Mickola Wilson as a non-executive director. Wilson is currently a joint owner and director of Seven Dials Fund Management responsible for providing consultancy, research and investment management advice. Prior to this role, Wilson was CEO of Teesland for six years, having joined the business in 2002. From 2008 to 2013 Wilson served as non-executive chairman of Cushman & Wakefield Investors.
Vistra – Michael Sheahan has been appointed to lead the fund services company’s global real estate business. As alternative investments global lead for real estate, Sheahan will be responsible for business strategy and resources allocation around the world. He has recently been consulting to several global real estate investment managers. Earlier, he was a managing director and led the global management team for Citco’s property business.
Maven Capital Partners – Colin Anderson and Andrew Whiteley have been promoted to partnership positions. Both were part of the company’s specialist property investment team. Anderson joined Maven in 2014, having previously spent 11 years in the corporate banking and real estate finance roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland. Whiteley joined the property manager in 2013 from Hotbed, where he was a co-head of property.
Morrison & Foerster – Alice L Connaughton has joined the law firm’s Washington DC office as a partner in the real estate investment trust group. Connaughton joins from Greenberg Traurig.
Seyfarth Shaw – Juan D Reyes III has rejoined the law firm in New York as a partner in the real estate department and public-private partnership practice. Reyes returns to Seyfarth from federal government service, where he was the acting administrator and chief counsel for the US Department of Transportation’s Federal Railroad Administration.
Pensions Infrastructure Platform – The UK-based infrastructure business – developed by the country’s pension fund trade body the PLSA – has appointed Andy Clapp as head of asset management. He was previously at Dalmore Capital, one of the company’s external managers, and has 15 years’ experience advising and investing in infrastructure assets.
Knight Frank – The property adviser has appointed Caroline Bathgate as head of European valuation and advisory. Her appointment follows the retirement of Nick Powlesland, after 33 years with the firm. Bathgate joined Knight Frank in 2004.
