Ocorian, Quintain, Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, Relendex, Nuveen Real Estate, Charles Russell Speechlys, CapRock Partners, Dream Unlimited

Ocorian – Melville Rodrigues, a former partner at law firm Charles Russell Speechlys, has joined the fund services company. Rodrigues has more than 25 years’ legal and structuring experience and has recently spearheaded the initiative in the UK to push for a Professional Investor Fund, a proposed onshore investment vehicle for institutional investors.

Quintain – The property investor has appointed Philip Slavin CFO. Slavin will oversee Quintain’s treasury and the financial functions which support the company’s operating divisions, which include build-to-rent, retail, development and estate management. He has been appointed to the board of directors, as well as the executive committee. Slavin joined Quintain in January. Most recently, he held the position of CFO US for Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield. He joined Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield in 2008 as head of UK strategic planning, was subsequently appointed UK & Ireland finance director in 2011 and then moved to Los Angeles to take the role of CFO US in 2015. Prior to this, he was a director at Deloitte in London and New York, specialising in the real estate, hospitality and marketing sectors.

CapRock Partners – The California-based industrial real estate investment firm has promoted Taylor Arnett to first vice president, acquisitions. Arnett, who joined the firm in 2014, supervises CapRock’s acquisition efforts in Southern California and Southern Nevada and was instrumental in leading the company’s first expansion beyond California into Las Vegas. In his new role, Arnett will keep spearheading CapRock’s further expansion into new Western US markets, including Salt Lake City and Sacramento. Prior to joining CapRock, he was acquisitions manager for Asset Management Consultants.

Dream UnlimitedRahul Idnani, the former global COO for Nuveen Real Estate, has been appointed president of Dream Equity Partners, a newly launched private real estate business. Prior to joining Nuveen in January 2017, Idnani held senior leadership positions at US institutional investor TIAA where he worked for over three years. Jane Gavan, president of Dream Unlimited’s asset management arm has become the executive chair of the new business.

RelendexAaron de Silva has joined the commercial property lender as director of sales in their property development finance division. His most recent role has been head of business development at a national firm of solicitors where he has developed extensive contacts within the house-builder sector.
