PGIM Real Estate – Greg Kane, currently an executive director on the investment research team, has been promoted to head the asset manager’s European investment research. Kane, who will remain in London, will lead the European research team in supporting the portfolio, asset management, acquisitions and marketing efforts of the regional and global businesses. He also becomes a member of the European investment committee. Kane joined the European investment research team in 2008 as an associate and was promoted to executive director last year. Prior to joining PGIM Real Estate, he was a research analyst at DTZ Research, now Cushman & Wakefield.

BaringsJere Fredriksson has been appointed to head the investment managers real estate transactions in Finland. In his new role, Fredriksson will be responsible for supporting the development and growth of Barings’ platform in inland through the sourcing of transactions across the risk spectrum from core to value-add. He joins from LocalTapiola Real Estate Asset Management where has worked across transactions and portfolio and investment management involving a range of asset classes.

Hearthstone Investment Management – Andrew Tarbit has been appointed fund controller for the specialist property investment advisor’s UK housing fund. Tarbit will be responsible for all financial reporting across the Hearthstone Residential Fund 1. Tarbit has worked within real estate finance and operations teams for over 10 years, most recently as fund accounting manager for Schroders.

JLLGeorg Frauboes and Eugene Kim have joined the real estate consultant’s newly created global funds advisory team as directors. Frauboes is based in London. He joins from UBS Asset Management, where he worked alongside regional teams, underwriting real estate funds globally on behalf of UBS Multi-Manager Real Estate clients. Kim is based in Singapore. He joins from Brookfield Asset Management. Most recently he was a member of its product development and strategy group, creating investment strategies and vehicles across real estate, infrastructure and private equity. In their roles, they will be responsible for underwriting investment opportunities and managing the capital raising process in their respective regions.

Cording Real Estate Group – Theo Soeters has been appointed to lead the group’s fund management business. In the newly created role as head of fund management, Soeters will responsible for fund management activities, including portfolio management, alignment of investment processes, research and debt sourcing in Germany, Netherlands and the UK. He will also support the development of new investment products and strategies and contribute his network to raise new funds and will be based in Amsterdam. Cording said the position was created to help streamline existing fund management mandates and grow the assets under management through new mandates. Soeters, a real estate investment management professional, established ING Real Estate’s French business (later CBRE Global Investors) in Paris between 2000 and 2008. More recently, he established his own restructuring and refinancing business in the Netherlands. 

BrickVest Rafal Okninski is the property investment platform’s new chief technical officer. He was most recently chief architect at Acquis Exchange and before that at London-based hedge fund Marble Bar Asset Management.
