Grosvenor Group – Craig McWilliam has been appointed to replace current group CEO Mark Preston from the end of 2020, the property firm announced today as part of its succession plans. McWilliam is currently Grosvenor Britain and Ireland CEO. Preston, who served as CEO for 12 years, will continue as executive trustee of the Grosvenor estate and will become executive deputy chairman of Grosvenor Group and head of the family office. As part of a number of leadership changes, Grosvenor Europe CEO James Raynor will become Grosvenor Britain and Ireland CEO on 31 September 2020. Sara Lucas, Grosvenor Europe executive director, becomes Grosvenor Europe CEO on 30 September this year. Group executive director Peter Vernon retires from the business on 30 September 2020
Mayfair Capital Investment Management – The UK platform of Swiss Life Asset Management, has hired Maureen Mahr von Staszewski to lead the pan-European investment program for Swiss Life. Mahr von Staszewski, who joins from Cromwell Property Group. Prior to Cromwell, she worked for AXA Investment Management.
Urban Land Institute – Owen D Thomas, CEO of Boston Properties has been elected as the new global chairman of the real estate research organisation. Thomas, a longtime ULI member, ULI governing trustee and ULI foundation governor, will serve a two-year term that ends 30 June 2021. Thomas succeeds Thomas W Toomey, whose term as global chairman ended 30 June.
Cording Real Estate Group – Zoe Innes has been appointed head of residential lettings, UK. Innes will manage Cording’s in-house lettings team. Prior to joining Cording, she was head of lettings and a director of Cluttons. Before joining Cluttons, Innes was a lettings manager at Strutt & Parker and Kinleigh Folkard & Hayward.
Frasers Property Europe – CEO Wulf Meinel has left the company. Arno van Geet, chief financial and risk officer of Frasers Property Europe, will continue in his current role and will work closely with the Frasers Property Europe board until new leadership has been determined.
