Mawson Infrastructure – The digital infrastructure provider has appointed Rahul Mewawalla CEO and president of the company. Mewawalla held senior executive and operating roles including as CEO, president, and EVP. James Manning, the Australian-based founder and current CEO of Mawson, is stepping down in support of the company’s strategic decision to more strongly focus on the company’s existing US operations and pipeline of expansion and growth opportunities. Manning will continue to contribute to the future success of Mawson by continuing to serve as a non-executive member of the company’s board of directors.
KKR – KKR Real Estate Select Trust has appointed Julia Butler to the newly created role of chief investment Officer. She will oversee investment management for the fund. Butler joined KKR in 2017 and is a managing director on the real estate team. Prior to joining KKR, Butler was an EVP at iStar. Earlier in her career, Butler worked in the treasury department of The Walt Disney Company in Los Angeles. She currently sits on the board of directors of Women in Need.
BlackRock – The asset manager’s European real estate arm has appointed Adolfo Favieres as managing director and Jesús Moler as vice president to lead a newly created Spanish real estate team. Favieres and Moler join BlackRock from Iberian real estate investor, Neberu Capital Partners. Favieres joins BlackRock from his role as managing partner of Neberu. Prior to that, he was MD and country head for Barings, having set-up the firm’s business in Iberia. Moler was previously investment director at Neberu. He also worked at Barings, IBA Capital, JLL, and JP Morgan, focused on large transactions across logistics and commercial real estate.
Tishman Speyer – Jerry Hyunjae Park is joining the firm’s recently-established office in Seoul, South Korea in mid-June as senior director of acquisitions. Park will help Tishman Speyer build out a diverse portfolio of assets in the Asia Pacific region beyond the firm’s already extensive portfolio in China and India. In his new role, Park will source and execute new investment opportunities across a wide range of asset classes, including the office, retail, industrial, life sciences and multifamily sectors. Over the past five years, Park served as executive director for acquisitions and development at D&D Investment, a subsidiary of SK D&D, which Park co-founded. Prior to D&D Investment, Park served as a global portfolio manager for National Pension Service of Korea.
M&G – Simon Ellis has been promoted to co-fund manager of M&G European Property Fund, alongside fund manager, David Jackson. Having worked on the fund with Jackson since 2006 and played a key role as deputy fund manager since 2015, Ellis will now assume a more significant role in strategy and investment decisions, reporting to Tony Brown, global head of M&G Real Estate.
Ringley Group – Richard Starr, a former executive director at Palace Capital has been appointed consultant. Former Marsh & Parsons director Robert Pratt has alos joined the company as managing director for build-to-rent mobilisation and leasing in the South of England. The pair will help drive Ringley’s offering to the residential sector. Starr, who brings over 20 years’ experience in real estate investment, spent nine years at Palace Capital. He will focus on implementing Ringley’s corporate vision and growing its institutional investor client base. Pratt brings over 15 years’ experience in agency. He joins from London specialist Druce, where he was lettings director, after a decade at Marsh and Parsons.
Caverion – Minna Schrey-Hyppänen, executive vice president, human resources and safety, has resigned and will leave Caverion. Liisa Vasben has been appointed interim head of group human resources and safety. Vasben holds the position of group head of people management and rewards. She will report to Jacob Götzsche but will not be a group management board member. Schrey-Hyppänen will support Liisa Vasben in her onboarding. Kari Sundbäck, EVP, services, solutions, digital and sustainability, is leaving his position at the company. Jaakko Wacklin has been appointed as EVP, operational performance and excellence and a member of the group management board of Caverion Corporation. Wacklin has worked at Caverion and its predecessor companies for over 15 years, having most recently held the position of group head of services business. Wacklin will continue to lead our services business and also lead Caverion’s operational performance improvement activities.
Allsop – The UK property consultant has appointed Brad Harris and Jack Robson senior consultants, both of whom have worked at the firm previously and return to Allsop’s Leeds office. Harris is responsible for residential land and development, whilst Robson is focussed on buying and selling residential investments, both in Yorkshire and the regions. Having previously worked at Allsop for over 10 years, Robson went client-side in 2021, joining the investment team at HSPG as a senior acquisition manager.
Europi Property – James Tootell has been appointed asset management director. Tootell will be based in the London office and take responsibility for asset management of Europi’s investment portfolio across the UK and Europe, working alongside local operating partners. Tootell joins from Singaporean investor Elite Partners Capital, where he was head of asset Management. Prior to Elite, Tootell was asset management director – North at Telereal Trillium, where he spent over 16 years.
