LGPS Central — Lee Marshall has been appointed as head of global real estate and natural capital, where he will lead the investment strategy and management of global property and natural capital assets. Marshall joins from Pension Protection Fund, where he served as head of real estate, and previously held the role of head of Continental Europe at LaSalle Investment Management. With over 20 years of experience, he also spent 11 years at Aviva Investors, where he established a track record in managing indirect real estate portfolios and leading capital strategies for Continental European clients.
Catella — Nils Sommersel has been appointed as chief digital officer, where he will be responsible for driving the digital strategy, governance and transformation agenda across the firm’s pan-European platform. Sommersel joins from ATP Ejendomme, where he served as head of digital solutions, and previously held senior roles at DEAS Group and Georg Jensen.
Azora — Anne-Jan Jager has been appointed as managing director within the business development and strategy team, where he will lead the group’s international expansion and strengthen its capital formation and global investor relations. Jager joins from Partners Group, where he served as managing director and co-head of real estate Europe, and previously held the role of executive director of investments at Tristan Capital Partners. With more than two decades of experience, he also spent nearly ten years at UBS Global Asset Management.
CBRE Investment Management — Phillipa Grant has been appointed as senior director, EMEA direct investment strategy, where she will lead the implementation of the firm’s sustainability vision across its European direct real estate platform. Grant joins from Aviva Investors, where she served as sustainable investments director, and previously held the role of environmental engineer. In her new role, she will support CBRE Investment Management’s target of embedding sustainability across the full investment lifecycle and enhancing investment performance.
Realterm — Danae Daniilidis has been appointed as vice president of capital markets for EMEA, where she will lead investor coverage across the Middle East and manage capital raising for the firm’s open-end and closed-end funds. Daniilidis joins from iCapital, where she served as Middle East partner, and previously held the role of vice president of capital introductions at Citigroup. With over eight years of experience, she also spent time at Blackrock in a private markets research and strategy role. In her new role, she will support Realterm’s target of expanding its regional presence and deepening institutional investor understanding of its transportation-focused real asset strategies as the firm establishes its new office in the UAE.
Royal BAM — Bob Elfring has been appointed as chair of the supervisory board, where he will lead the group’s governance and oversee its strategic priorities with effect from 1 January 2027. Elfring, who has been a member of the supervisory board since August 2020, currently serves as vice-chair and will succeed Henk Rottinghuis, who is stepping down from the board at the end of 2026. In his new role, he will support the firm’s target of ensuring continuity of leadership and effective governance as future board rotations are phased over time. Denise Koopmans will step down from the supervisory board at the annual general meeting in 2027, ahead of schedule. Koopmans was originally appointed to the board in 2020 and was reappointed in 2024. In her role, she supported the firm’s target of delivering on its strategic priorities during a period of leadership transition and succession planning. Paul Hamer has been appointed as a member of the supervisory board for a four-year term, where he will oversee the adoption of strategic resolutions and financial governance. Hamer joins from his nomination announced in late 2025 and succeeds Paul Sheffield, who previously held the role of board member before reaching the end of his term.
Turner & Townsend — Emma Gilthorpe has been appointed as chief transformation officer, where she will be responsible for driving global transformation across the operating platform and embracing AI and technology. Gilthorpe joins from Royal Mail, where she served as chief executive, and previously held the role of chief operations officer at Heathrow Airport. With over 20 years of experience, she also spent nearly 15 years on the executive team at Heathrow Airport, where she established the £30bn airport expansion programme. In her new role, she will support Turner & Townsend’s target of becoming the world’s leading programme management business as the firm executes its global growth strategy.
Mitheridge Capital Management — Aniruddha Barua has been appointed as partner and head of strategy and capital formation, where he will support the firm in laying the strategic foundations for its further growth. Barua joins from PJT Partners, where he served as a leader for the firm’s investment banking activities in the EMEA real estate and hospitality sectors, and previously held the role of responsible for EMEA lodging investment banking coverage at JP Morgan. With over 15 years of experience, he also spent several years at HSBC and HDFC AMC, where he established a track record advising on and investing into real estate transactions across EMEA, North America and India. In his new role, he will support Mitheridge Capital Management‘s target of scaling its platform and expanding its corporate finance and real estate capabilities across multiple geographies.
UK living platform — Johnny Langton has been appointed as head of operations for the new UK rental homes platform, where he will oversee the delivery of customer service and support the firm’s growth objectives. Langton joins from Greystar, where he served as managing director for operational excellence across Europe, and previously held the role of interim managing director at Student Roost. In his new role, he will support The Living platform’s target of becoming a top five operator of UK rental homes within five years.
Arada London — Ashley Fletcher has been appointed as general counsel to the board of directors, where he will lead the legal function across the business and support transactions, development activity and the progression of the pipeline. Fletcher joins from his previous role as head of legal at Arada London, and previously held the role of in-house legal counsel at Balfour Beatty Investments. With over several years of experience, he also spent time at international law firm Squire Patton Boggs, where he established a track record advising on a range of development schemes. In his new role, he will support Arada London’s target of scaling the business and delivering a pipeline of more than 15,000 homes across London boroughs.
Rankeilour Properties — Valentine Beresford has been appointed as non-executive chairman of the company’s new UK Warehouse Fund, where he will help capitalise on current market conditions as the vehicle prepares for a July 2026 launch. Beresford joins from LondonMetric Property, where he served as investment director and co-founder, and previously held senior management and board-level roles during a 35-year career. In his new role, he will support Rankeilour Properties’s target of accelerating its industrial and logistics investment strategy across Scotland and Northern England.
Quadrant — Pei-Wen Yen has been appointed as equity partner and head of transactions, where she will enhance investment and acquisition capabilities to take advantage of new market opportunities. Yen joins from her previous role as partner at Quadrant, and previously held positions at Sainsbury’s, Almacantar, and Rothschild & Co. In her new role, she will support Quadrant’s target of strengthening its senior team and delivering optimum outcomes for clients and partners. Sam Butler has been appointed as associate partner, where he will support investment execution and the underwriting of assets for acquisition. Butler joins from Chancerygate, where he served as a manager for a UK multi-let industrial development portfolio, and previously held the role of investment professional at Frasers Property Australia. In his new role, he will support Quadrant’s target of growing investments in key sectors including Central London offices.
SBF Fonder — Theodor Riise has been appointed as asset manager, where he will play a key role in the execution of the firm’s forward-looking strategies and the operational management of real estate assets. Riise joins from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield, where he served as senior investment manager, and previously held roles focused on real estate management, investment and development across multiple European markets. In his new role, he will support SBF Fonder’s target of growing assets under management and executing complex strategies within Swedish residential real estate and social infrastructure.
