Legal & General Capital – The early-stage investment business of Legal & General Group has appointed David Reid as senior investment manager to help with the firm’s build-to-rent push. Reid will be responsible for managing LGC’s existing rental housing investments and providing leadership and innovation to new investment opportunities. He joins from Rowan Asset Management, where he was a director. Prior to this, he was development director for WeWork and a director at Taylor Wimpey Cavendish Holdings, managing a joint ventures housing division over a 10 year period. Simon Century, director, BTR and affordable housing, said the appointment of Reid will “enable us to broaden our skillset, generate strategy and facilitate future expansion”.

LendInvest – The UK property finance platform has appointed former CBRE senior director and head of loan advisory, Anurag Sharma, as fund manager. Sharma has worked with LendInvest in an advisory capacity for several years whilst leading the loan advisory team at CBRE Capital Advisors. Before joining CBRE in 2016, Sharma held structured finance positions at Barclays, Deloitte, and PwC. At LendInvest Sharma is responsible for managing the multiple portfolios of assets for investors, including that of LendInvest’s flagship fund, the real estate opportunity fund. Additionally, Sharma sits on LendInvest’s credit committee.

CA Ventures – The €12bn real estate investment firm, which launched its European real estate platform in September last year, has named Steven Zijl Spain and Portugal managing director. Zijl joins from Eurostate Real Estate Partners, a private management company he founded in 2001.
