Legal & General Capital – The principal investment arm of Legal & General has expanded its housebuilding arm with two new hires. Chris Sly and Matthew Stubblefield join Legal & General Homes from Berkeley Homes and Croudace Homes Group, respectively. Sly, who was head of finance for the western division of Berkeley, has been made finance director. Stubblefield, who was group head of health and safety at Croudace, is the new health and safety officer.

Commerz Real – Jens Böhnlein has assumed the management of the office and industrial division at the German fund manager. Böhnlein joins from Austrian property company CA Immo, where he was global head of office solutions and designs. Susanne Bonfig, who was head of the division, is moving to digital unit Digitalwerk, where she will be responsible for all aspects of strategy relating to digital real estate asset management.

Logicor – The European logistics specalist has promoted Simon Clinton from director of group finance to chief financial officer. The move follows the departure of Simon Carter, the previous chief financial officer, to British Land in January. Clinton joined Logicor in February 2017 from Tesco.

Gresham HouseHeather Fleming has been appointed to the newly created role of head of institutional business. The specialist alternatives asset manager said Fleming’s initial focus will be Gresham’s flagship British Strategic Investment Fund, but she will also be responsible for developing the group’s broader institutional client offering and fundraising capability in the future. Fleming will be based in London. She spent over seven years at Fidelity International, latterly as head of institutional distribution for UK and Ireland. Prior to this, she spent eight years at Capital International where she was responsible for client relationships. 

AG Real EstateXavier Denis has joined the management committee and board of directors as chief development officer. He will lead all development activities. Denis has been chief operating officer and member of the management committee and executive director at Cofinimmo since 2011. He joined the Belgian real estate company in 2002 as head of project development and area manager.

Aprirose  Tim Shearman has been hired as chief executive officer of the real estate investment company’s hotels business. He joins from London & Regional where he was the chief operating officer of hotels. Prior to this, he was asset management VP for Westmont Hospitality Group.

PGIM Real Estate – Stephen O’Keeffe has been appointed executive director to lead the firm’s Australian real estate debt business. He will be responsible for sourcing real estate debt investments and managing relationships with prospective borrowers and partners in the country. O’Keeffe is also expected to help execute a new $320m real estate debt mandate to invest in Australia awarded by an unnamed institution. O’Keeffe was a senior director in the debt and structured finance team at CBRE. He previously worked as a fund manager at Quadrant Real Estate Advisors and held fund management roles at Mirvac Funds Management.

Octopus Property – The UK specialist property has added two members to its team by hiring Darius Shekarrizi and Mert Zabci, and has promoted Daniel Murray to head sales in London. Shekarrizi joins as business development manager for the south east of the UK. He joins from bridging financier Oblix Capital. Zabci joins the commercial team as a commercial investment manager. He was previously an originator in the real estate finance private equity team at RBS. Murray joined Octopus Property in 2015 from International Financial Services Group to take over as business development manager for the east region. Following his latest promotion, Murray will manage the London UK business development managers, while overseeing the growth of Octopus Property’s network of brokers in the region.

MLP Group – Patrick Kurowski has joined the Polish production and warehouse space developer as country manager. Kurowski has been charged with the expansion of the group’s operations in the German and Austrian market. Kurowski joins from CBRE where he has worked since 2007; for the last seven years he was director of advisory and transaction services.
