JLL – The real estate services firm has appointed senior client partner Stephanie Hyde as new CEO of its UK business with effect from April to succeed Chris Ireland, who will become chairman. Hyde, who currently leads large global client accounts, has been at PwC for 25 years. As chairman, Ireland will support Hyde’s transition into the new role and the UK client teams dealing with both investors and occupiers. Ireland became the UK CEO in 2016.
Savills Investment Management – The international real estate investment manager has appointed Andrew Allen in a new role as head of product strategy and development. He joins from Aberdeen Standard Investments, where he held several senior roles and was most recently global head of investment research, real estate. He also worked for Stifel in real estate securities research. Allen worked for Cordea Savills (now Savills IM) as head of research and strategy from 2004 to 2010. In this new role, Allen will lead Savills IM’s new product activity globally and will directly oversee product delivery in Europe. Based in London, he will also work closely with research and strategy as well as industry teams across the Savills group on thought leadership initiatives and product innovation. Allen will join the global executive committee.
Cushman & Wakefield – Sally Bruer has joined the real estate services firm as partner – logistics and industrial, insight and strategy EMEA. Bruer joins Cushman & Wakefield from Tritax Management where she led the research function. In this new role, Bruer will work in partnership with Lisa Graham, EMEA head of logistics and industrial research and insight, to offer Cushman & Wakefield clients across Europe.
Panattoni – The logistics property developer has appointed Nick Cripps as its head of capital markets. Based in London, Cripps will be responsible for the capitalisation of projects across the UK and Europe and will form an integral part of Panattoni’s global capital network. He will be working closely with Panattoni’s European operating platform, helping manage global and Pan-European investor relationships and structure capital solutions. Prior to joining Panattoni, Cripps spent 12 years at Knight Frank, working in their Capital Markets team.
LandAid – Jamie Lyon, the European COO/CFO at LaSalle Investment Management and Marcus Shepherd CFO at U&I have been appointed to the property industry charity’s finance, governance and risk committee. As part of their new positions, both Lyon and Shepherd will work with committee chair and trustee Susan Hickey and other members of the committee to guide LandAid’s growth and the roll-out of its new strategy due to be published in April.
7R – Savas Gencer has been appointed as investment director at 7R. He has joined the investment team and will be responsible for capital raising activities and 7R’s international expansion into new European markets. Gencer has over ten years’ experience in private equity real estate investment. Prior to joining 7R, he was vice president at Amstar, where he was responsible for the company’s investment and asset management activities in CEE and Turkey.
Schroders – The investment manager has hired Chantale Pelletier from Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec to lead its expansion into private infrastructure markets. Pelletier will take on the new position of global head of infrastructure in private assets at the London-based investment manager at the end of March. Pelletier will also become president of Schroder Aida SAS, the firm’s Paris-based infrastructure business. Pelletier has spent 20 years at CDPQ, most recently as managing director of capital solutions, helping build up the Canadian institutional investor’s C$27.8bn (€17.7bn) infrastructure portfolio. She was previously head European infrastructure and led the Paris office.
Union Investment Real Estate Austria – Petia Zeiringer has been appointed to the management board. She has been with the company since 2007, working in multi-asset portfolio management and most recently in risk management. As a new board member, Zeiringer will be responsible for fund management and asset management.
Atrato Group – The alternative asset management and advisory group has appointed Max Kinghorn as managing director, long income. Atrato is launching a new business to originate, structure and acquire long income properties outside the supermarket sector and has appointed Kinghorn to lead this new business. Kinghorn and joins from Whitmarsh Holt Young, where he was associate partner. Prior to this, Kinghorn was an investment surveyor at Prestigic Holdings, where he managed a portfolio of long let property assets.
TopHat – The tech-enabled housebuilder has appointed Airbus’ vice president of digital transformation, Matthew Evans, to become the company’s chief technology officer. In his new role, Evans will take a data-led approach to improve TopHat’s processes across the full lifecycle of each home’s creation, from its design and production through delivery and support.
New Forests – Adrian Williams will join the Sydney-based sustainable forestry asset manager as CFO. Williams was most recently acting CFO and COO at AMP Capital. As CFO of New Forests, he will oversee funds management accounting, corporate accounting, strategic planning, and business management.
Alvarez & Marsal Taxand – Kersten Muller has been appointed as managing director to lead the firm’s real estate team in the UK. Muller joins from Grant Thornton where he was head of real estate. Previously, he spent 13 years with Deloitte in their Real Estate team.
St Modwen – Fran Leedham has been appointed head of responsible business to support and develop the company’s responsible business commitments. Leedham joins St. Modwen from JLL where she was director of its sustainability strategy consulting practice, working closely with clients to advise on and implement progressive ESG and sustainability programmes.
