Invesco Real Estate – Cristiano Stampa and David Kellett have been promoted to head of investments and head of alternative investments, respectively, in Europe. Stampa was recently head of transactions for southern Europe and has been with the firm since 2017. He will manage a team focused on areas such as investment performance, the execution of the firm’s European growth business plan, and interaction across all of Invesco Real Estate’s European markets via country-specific teams. Kellett was previously head of hotel transactions and has been with the firm since 2018.
Savills Investment Management – The international real estate investment manager has appointed Viola van der Bosch as director of business development. She will be responsible for distribution efforts in the region with a particular focus on DRC Savills IM’s debt offering. She will report to Rena Knöpke, MD and head of business development Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Prior to joining Savills IM, Van der Bosch was at Union Investment Institutional, where she was responsible for product and business development in the areas of separate accounts and club deal products. Prior to this, she worked at HQ Capital Private Equity in the investment team and at Morgan Stanley in the real assets/private equity division.
Madison International Realty – Yichao Mark has been promoted to director of strategic investor solutions from VP on the firm’s equity capital markets team. In this new position, Mark will work with large institutional investors to create customised investment programmes. Prior to joining Madison in 2018, Mark worked at ORG Portfolio Management from 2015 to 2018, where he was involved in client and LP due diligence for US institutional investors. Mark is a member of the rising leaders committee of the Pension Real Estate Association
Civitas Investment Management – Lisa Feifer has joined the social-impact real estate investor as head of investor relations. She has more than 20 years’ experience in real estate fund management and global capital raising and spent more than 13 years at Orion Capital Managers, where she was a partner specialising in investor relations and capital formation.
MAPP – The real estate consultancy that focuses on the management of UK commercial property has appointed Louise Bonham as CEO with effect from September 2023. Nigel Mapp, who founded the business 25 years ago, will take on the role of chairman and will remain involved full-time, overseeing the company’s continuing strategic growth in its core market and the rapidly expanding areas of flex, sustainability and building consultancy. David Clein as MAPP’s executive chairman will spend more time working with MAPP’s significant and growing client base. Both of them will also remain trustees of The MAPP Charitable Foundation. Bonham was previously co-head of Cushman & Wakefield’s EMEA asset services business and COO of advisory and transaction services EMEA at CBRE. Bonham has also worked in the real estate teams of Brunswick Group, Deutsche Bank and Deloitte. Bonham is currently a non-executive director and audit chair designate of Miton UK MicroCap Trust and also has non-executive experience within the property industry.
Adapteo – Jeffrey De Clercq assumes the position of chief commercial officer. Lina K Wiles has also been appointed chief sustainability officer. Both roles will report to Johanna Persson, president and CEO of Adapteo. De Clercq was previously market group sales and marketing director, UK & Nordics at Otis Elevator. Wiles was most recently head of sustainability at one of Sweden and Denmark’s fuel companies OKQ8.
EG Funds Management – Stephen Rich has been appointed head of capital. Rich joins the EG team with more than 20 years’ experience working in private and public real estate capital markets across Asia. Rich was previously head of capital at another Sydney firm, Aliro. He joined Aliro on his return from Hong Kong where he was the managing director of M3 Capital Partners in its Hong Kong office, for five years.
Medical Properties Trust – The NYSE-listed real estate investment trust formed to acquire and develop net-leased hospital facilities has promoted Rosa Hooper to serve as SVP of operations, assuming leadership of all business operations while continuing to lead the firm’s asset management and underwriting functions. Hooper will also assume the role of assistant secretary. Kevin Hanna has also been promoted to serve as SVP – controller and chief accounting officer, and Larry Portal has been promoted to serve as SVP – senior advisor to the CEO.
Urban Logistics – The London-listed last-mile logistics-focused real estate investment trust has appointed Lynda Heywood as an independent non-executive director, and a member of the audit committee, management engagement committee and nomination committee with effect from 1 May 2023. Heywood is a finance leader and treasurer who brings a wealth of experience in guiding FTSE 100 companies from her 20-year tenure at Kingfisher, and six years at Tesco, holding group treasurer roles at both organisations. Outside of her role at Tesco, Heywood is also a member of the money markets committee of the Bank of England.
GlobalConnect – The Nordic digital infrastructure and connectivity provider has appointed Annette Otto as its new SVP of people and culture. Otto comes from a role as an independent consultant, and was prior to that SVP of people, brand and sustainability at Atea Denmark. Otto will assume her new role in GlobalConnect on April 15, 2023. Before joining Atea Denmark, Otto headed up HR development at Coop Denmark and spent her previous four years working with HR, communications and business support at Telia Denmark.
EVC – The UK-based electric vehicle charge point operator has appointed Anne Currell to its board as the company’s new chairperson. Currell is currently a director in the London residential development team focusing on business development in east London at Savills. Currell was also the founder and CEO of The Currell Group.
