I Squared Capital — Philippe Lenoble will join the investment team as CEO and will report to Mohamed El Gazzar, senior partner. Bogdan Ciobotaru will join the asset management team as CEO and report to Maxime Jacqz, managing director of asset management in Europe. Lenoble brings nearly 30 years of investment industry experience within the infrastructure sector. He is recognised by the I Squared team, having collaborated with the firm in one way or another for the past 15 years, most recently as an operational advisor and member of the board of directors of Arriva. Previously, Lenoble spent 16 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was executive director of infrastructure funds at GS. He has also held leadership roles at CDPQ and AustralianSuper. Ciobotaru has 25 years of experience in investment banking, private equity and asset management in the infrastructure, telecommunications and financial services sectors, initially at Morgan Stanley and later at Renaissance Capital. Like Lenoble, Ciobotaru joined I Squared as COO, but quickly proved his worth as president of Ezee Fiber and on the boards of Exa Infrastructure, Cube Cold and, most recently, Arriva.

Landmark PropertiesWes Rogers, formerly president and CEO, will add the newly created role of chairman while maintaining his CEO role. Walt Templin will assume the role of president and CIO from his role as head of investment management. Jason Doornbos, formerly executive MD of development, will be elevated to chief development officer. Doornbos has been with the firm since 2010 and is based in Athens, Georgia. Porter McDonald will assume the role of executive managing director, investment. He was formerly managing director of investment management and will lead the organisation’s investment team focusing on acquisitions, dispositions and driving investment growth. McDonald is based in Athens, Georgia.

Aboria CapitalEric Byrne, former head of UBS Asset Management’s Real Estate & Private Markets multi-manager business, has joined the firm as senior adviser to support the firm’s growth. Byrne co-founded UBS Asset Management’s real estate multi-manager business in 2007 and led the business from 2013-2024. He held the post of CEO of UBS’ UK Asset Management business for five years, whilst retaining his global multi-manager responsibilities. In his new advisory role, Byrne will provide the Aboria leadership team with strategic counsel aimed at accelerating the firm’s growth.

Apache CapitalBen O’Connor has been appointed portfolio investment director. O’Connor joins from Get Living, where he was a senior portfolio manager in investments, overseeing all origination, acquisition, and divestment opportunities. Prior to Get Living, he worked in investment management and capital markets at Lendlease London. 

Property Sense — Simon Dicanio joins from Gleeson Homes and will take up the role of head of sales. Annabel Yates joins as marketing manager from HBD. She will be responsible for building Property Sense’s brand, leading on creative strategies for the company to establish its market position and increase awareness. Property Sense is also in the process of hiring a chief technology officer, business development specialists, and non-executive directors for its board.

Buckingham CompaniesW Jeffrey Beckham has been appointed CIO. In this new role, Beckham will oversee investment strategy, portfolio management and capital allocation. Before joining Buckingham, Beckham served as head of portfolio and asset management at GID, overseeing multifamily portfolio and asset management, retail asset management, sustainability initiatives and new investment product development. Prior to GID, Beckham was the head of institutional investment management at Jamestown. His career also includes leadership roles at Tishman Speyer in New York and Atlanta; Hines in London; and Morgan Stanley Real Estate in New York, London, and Tokyo.  

Round Hill Capital — Sandra Burrows has been appointed chief operating officer. Before joining Round Hill Capital, Burrows served as chief transformation officer at Praemia REIM, where she led key strategic initiatives to drive innovation and business growth. Burrows spent several years of her career at Blackstone and 3i in London, where she specialised in investor relations and private wealth solutions.

Savills —  Thea Rowe has joined the international real estate advisor’s global cross-border retail team. Rowe joins Savills from Bruce Gillingham Pollard, where she worked for over a decade across both leasing and tenant representation teams In her new role, Rowe will be situated in Dubai, strengthening the global retail team’s cross-border advisory in the Middle East, and helping both new entrants and established names grow their presence within the market.

Seven Hills Realty Trust — Matthew Brown has been appointed as CFO and treasurer. Brown is SVP of The RMR Group, where he oversees the accounting and finance functions and the tax department. Brown has served in various accounting and finance leadership roles since joining RMR in 2007. He succeeds Fernando Diaz, who resigned from his position with SEVN.

Storm PropertiesBryan Leon has joined the company as land acquisitions manager. Leon brings more than four years of experience in real estate acquisitions and asset management, with a strong background in underwriting, entitlements and financing. In his role, Leon will be responsible for identifying, researching, underwriting, investigating, qualifying and managing the acquisition of multifamily land opportunities. He will also assist with due diligence, project entitlements and securing financing for new developments. Prior to joining Storm, Leon served as director of acquisitions for ZCS Development in Thousand Oaks, CA. His previous roles were at three companies in Irvine, including associate positions at Land Advisors Organization and Qtative and senior asset manager at Red Rock Realty Investments.  

ActisRahul Agrawal has been promoted to the Actis partnership. He was previously energy director for SEA at Actis. Agrawal joined Actis in 2012, initially focusing on India, where he was involved in Ostro Energy and Sprng Energy. Prior to Actis, Agrawal worked as an associate VP in the infrastructure private equity team at ICICI Venture and with a mezzanine fund of IL&FS.

Walter Herz  – Emil Domeracki has joined the firm as a partner and shareholder. He will be responsible for strategic initiatives, as well as business planning and development in the area of land investment. In his new role, Domeracki will manage the development of land investment projects. He was recently the head of the land investment department at Realty Corporation. For over 15 years, he co-created the land department at Colliers Poland, where in recent years he held a director position, specialising in land purchase and sale transactions, as well as providing real estate services for financial investors. Domeracki also served as an advisor to the management boards of BRE Bank and HypoVereisen Bank. 

Cortland – The firm has appointed Sandra Kim-Suk as CFO, Michelle Johnstone as EVP of client relations and capital markets and Chelsea Holder as head of investor relations. Kim-Suk will lead the firm’s financing and capital strategies, financial reporting, governance, and tax structuring and help to drive company profitability. With a background in finance and having served companies such as Engine No 1, Northwest Equity Partners, and L Catterton, she will be a member of the executive committee. Johnstone will lead capital-raising efforts across all investment strategies, focusing on US-based institutional investors and consultants. With experience developing strong community-based brands and nurturing client relationships for companies such as National Real Estate Advisors, Transwestern and Lincoln Property, she will build and maintain institutional investor relationships to achieve Cortland’s capital-raising objectives. Holder is responsible for building relationships with investors, communicating investment results, and managing investor activities in support of the firm’s existing and prospective investments. She brings significant real estate experience in investor relations, capital markets, and fund management, having served companies such as Jamestown and PGIM Real Estate Finance.  

Global Net LeaseLeon C Richardson has joined the board of directors. Richardson is the founder, president and CEO of The Chemico Group.

ColliersAgata Kurcewicz has joined the incentives advisory team at Colliers. as an associate director, Kurcewicz will support the company’s clients in obtaining public financing in the form of grants, preferential loans, tax exemptions or guarantees for, among others, improving the energy efficiency of buildings, renewable energy sources or energy storage facilities. Kurcewicz gained experience in both the public and private sectors. In her most recent role at PGE Energia Ciepła, she created and led a team responsible for the identification, optimisation, acquisition and settlement of external funding sources.
