Hines – The international real estate firm has appointed Daniel Chang as head of ESG for Europe. Chang, who previously held the role of managing director, portfolio management at Hines, will be seated in London, working across Europe and as part of Hines’ wider global ESG team. He began his career at Hines in July 1999 as an assistant construction manager, transitioning into development management and eventually into portfolio management. In his new role he will be responsible for driving a comprehensive ESG agenda across the Hines Europe platform – coordinating carbon reduction standards and initiatives, such as the net zero strategy for the Hines European Core Fund, defining social programs that foster meaningful engagement with stakeholders, and ensure adoption of transparent and accountable governance frameworks, such as GRESB and The United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
Investa Property – Merran Edwards has been appointed to replace current CFO, Ivan Gorridge, who is leaving Investa after 17 years with the group. Edwards was previously at AMP Capital Real Estate in the role of CFO. She has also held senior consulting roles at Fife Capital, Fort Street Advisors and UBS. Edwards will start with Investa in November.
GLP – The logistics real estate manager has appointed Philippe Graziani as country director in France. Graziani will be responsible for the implementation of GLP’s business strategy, which aims to optimise its logistics portfolio, whilst also expanding GLP’s activities to include new developments. Graziani joined GLP’s French team in January 2019 as asset management and transactions director.
GTC Poland – Maciej K Król and Yacine Diallo have been appointed commercial director and development director respectively. Król has over 20 years of experience IT, corporate marketing and investment consulting on the real estate market, optimisation of business processes and restructuring. Król was a partner and managing director of a Polish branch GVA Worldwide, and a board member of two foreign real estate market investment funds, responsible for portfolio restructuring and financing. Before joining GTC, he served as MD at Business Link. Diallo previously served as a member of the management board and the head of the development department in HB Reavis Poland, and the head of the technical department in Globalworth Poland.
Ringley Group – The property management consultant has appointed Eric Asarè as its new head of operations of Work by Ringley. Work by Ringley, which was established in 2019, provides flexible workspaces to growing businesses. Asarè will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of Camden Gateway, Ringley’s flagship flexible workspace building located in Kentish Town, North London. Prior to joining Work by Ringley, Asarè was managing director of flexible workspace provider, The Studio Workspace for 3 years. Before working at Studio Workspace, Asarè was head of operations and finance at Impact Hub Westminster.
Blackbrook Capital – The European real estate investment firm has appointed Olivier Lebrun as portfolio and ESG manager. Lebrun will be responsible for all aspects of property and build to suit project management, as well as working closely with the management in developing and driving forward Blackbrook’s sustainability strategies across its portfolio. Lebrun will be based out of the firm’s Luxembourg office.
AHTO – The UK affordable homes company has appointed Linda Robinson managing director to help lead the firm’s £1bn investment drive in the intermediate rent-to-buy housing sector and build partnerships with housing associations, local authorities and UK housebuilders. previously development director at The Guinness Partnership. Robinson was development director at UK social housing landlords The Guinness Partnership. Before that she served as executive development director of Metropolitan Housing Association. Robinson has also worked as a director of FPD Savills and Colliers Jardine in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific Rim in real estate and asset management.
Assembly Funds Management – The Australian real estate fund manager has appointed Pete Wylie to the newly-created role of head of capital, based in Sydney. Wylie joins from Lendlease, where he has held various roles since 2011, most recently as head of capital, group investments.
Hollis – The international real estate consultant has appointed Shane Banger and Georgia Currell to join the London City office and will be responsible for delivering ESG due diligence, net zero advice and monitoring changes to legislation and regulations. Calum Mackenzie joins the Edinburgh office.
Duval & Stachenfeld – The real estate law firm has named Ilya Leyvi co-chair of real estate finance practice. Currently a partner, Leyvi first joined the firm as a summer associate before joining full-time as an associate in 2013. He regularly represents lenders and borrowers on bridge loans, construction loans, mezzanine loans, and commercial mortgage-backed securities, as well as preferred equity investments.
Crestbridge – Conor O’Brien has been appointed head of accounting and transfer agency. O’Brien is responsible for establishing, leading and promoting the accounting, valuations and transfer agency functions of the fund administration business of Crestbridge Ireland. Prior to joining Crestbridge O’Brien worked in fund accounting, system and strategic operating model enhancement, integration and testing, financial reporting, fund launches and onboarding project work.
