PGIM Real Estate – Christy Hill has joined as managing director and head of Americas asset management, and will lead and implement the real estate investment manager’s strategy in the US and Latin America. She joins from Clarion Partners, where she was most recently managing director and assistant portfolio manager for the firm’s core real estate fund. Earlier, she was a senior member of Clarion’s asset management group. Previously, Hill worked at American Realty Advisors in senior roles across asset management and portfolio management. Hill replaces Scott Dalrymple, who has been named as a portfolio manager for PGIM Real Estate’s US open-ended, value-add fund.

CloudscraperRawle Howard has joined the commercial real estate exchange from Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPPIB). Howard has been appointed global head of capital markets and will be responsible for driving global adoption and the growth strategy. At CPPIB, Howard was in charge of the European private real estate debt business. Prior to joining CPPIB, Howard was the head of European commercial real estate debt at BlackRock. Previous to these two roles, he held senior-level commercial real estate debt positions in the US for Blackrock and Lehman Brothers.

Aberdeen Standard Investments – The investment manager has expanded its infrastructure investment team by hiring Michael KearneyNicholas Flynn and Alister Bankhead. Kearney, who has spent 15 years providing M&A and capital raising advice to the energy and infrastructure sector, primarily at JP Morgan and HSBC, has been appointed senior investment director. Flynn and Bankhead have been appointed investment manager and analyst, respectively.

Cushman & Wakefield – The real estate services firm has promoted international partners Karl Persson and Marie Cronström to lead its business in Sweden. Persson becomes head of Sweden, succeeding Agneta Jacobsson who it was announced last month would be standing down after 25 years with the firm. He joined Cushman & Wakefield’s Swedish capital markets team in May 2017. Cronström becomes deputy head of Sweden and COO. She joined Cushman & Wakefield in August 2015. Persson and Cronström will both continue with client work alongside their new leadership roles. They will also be working closely with the Cushman & Wakefield branded affiliates in the Nordics to further develop and strengthen the business and client relationships in the region.

M&G Real EstateSigvard Svefors has joined as an asset manager at M&G Real Estate’s Stockholm office. Svefors previously worked at real estate investment company Fridhem and also worked as part of JLL’s capital markets team in Sweden. 

Stafford Capital PartnersJos Boeren has been appointed to lead the $5.4bn alternative asset manager’s agriculture and food investments. Prior to joining Stafford Capital, Boeren was global lead capital at agri-food executive search firm Kincannon & Reed. He was also head of agri A&A at Société Générale, head of agriculture & food at advisory firm, Sherpa Millbank and worked in strategic planning at publicly-traded agribusiness company, Bunge. He started his career working in Corporate Strategy & Development roles at AirFrance-KLM and JTI.

Greystar – The global rental housing firm has hired Will Atkinson to drive forward the company’s UK investment programme. Atkinson has been tasked with seeking out new development opportunities and site acquisitions in London and key regional cities. Atkinson joins Greystar from British Land where he worked for seven years.

Arlington AdvisorsNeil Buchanan joins the UK-based investment manager as general counsel and company secretary. Buchanan will serve as company secretary for all Arlington entities, managing the company’s compliance requirements and supporting Arlington’s purpose-built student accommodation acquisitions programme. Buchanan joins from Campus Living Villages where he was the commercial manager and head of legal in the UK.

Octopus Property – The specialist property lender has hired Samantha Graydon in the home counties, Michelle Walsh in the west of England and Chris Timms in the Midlands as business development managers. Graydon joins from Castle Trust, where she was instrumental in growing the loan book in the Midlands and the North. In her new role, Graydon will be driving the residential, commercial and development broker relationships. Walsh joins from specialist lender Together, where she raised brand and product awareness amongst intermediaries in the South West. Walsh previously worked at Barclays for over 10 years in several different operational and sales roles. Timms most recently worked as a business development manager for Together, covering the Midlands.
