Europa Capital – The pan-European real estate investment manager has appointed Graham Porter as director, head of research, replacing Vanessa Muscarà who has been appointed to the new role of investment strategist. Porter joins from Abrdn, where he spent 10 years leading the UK research team.
Legal & General Investment Management Real Assets – Adam Burney, investment director at residential developer London Square, has joined the build-to-rent (BTR) platform of LGIM Real Assets. As head of annuity BTR, he will be responsible for the Legal & General Retirement Institutional BTR mandate, which was launched last year.
Amro Partners – The European student housing and multifamily developer and operator has appointed Rainer Nonnengässer as a senior managing director to lead its drive into new European student housing markets, including Germany, the Netherlands and Austria. Nonnengässer has more than 10 years’ experience in continental European purpose-built student housing and micro living. He was previously executive chairman and CEO of International Campus Group.
Greystar Real Estate Partners – The US-headquartered real estate developer and manager has appointed Thomas Charvet as managing director of Greystar France. Charvet is now responsible for the overall management of Greystar’s French business, including investment strategy, acquisitions and the growth of the development business. He was at BNP Paribas Real Estate for 15 years, during which time he held positions including managing director of all international development activities. Laurent Chaillou, who currently holds the role of senior director of operations, will continue to manage operations for Greystar France alongside Charvet.
SC Capital – Rai Katimansah has joined the Singapore-based real estate private equity firm as managing director. His focus will be mainly on debt opportunities across Asia-Pacific, as well private equity and value-add investments. Katimansah joins from Sun Hung Kai & Co, where he was a partner and portfolio manager.
Commerz Real – The German real estate fund manager has appointed Nicole Arnold to the board of managing directors, succeeding Siegfried Eschen who has returned to Commerzbank. Arnold joins from BNP Paribas Real Estate Investment Management, where she was chief operating officer and chief financial officer.
Quest Investment Partners – Nils Femmer, previously head of finance at the Hamburg-based investment and project development company, has been promoted to chief operating officer and appointed to the management board. He is now responsible for cost controlling and liquidity management at the project companies in addition to his previous responsibilities. He continues to act as the contact person for Quest’s financing partners and will be assuming some of the responsibilities of commercial managing director Ricardo Alvarez, who has left the company by mutual agreement. The appointment of a chief financial officer, who will be responsible for the commercial management and controlling of the Quest companies as well as for human resources and IT, is planned for the spring.
