Danica – Anne Skovbro has been appointed the new CEO of Danica Ejendomme, the real estate division of Danish pensions firm Danica, a subsidiary of Danske Bank. She will take up the top role on 1 September, replacing Michael Nielsen, who is retiring. Nielsen has headed up the real estate operation for the past six years, after joining Danica from Danish pension fund ATP’s real estate arm, where he was CEO for 17 years. Skovbro is currently CEO of Danish publicly-owned Copenhagen development firm By & Havn, a role she has been in for eight years.
MARK Capital Management – The pan-European real estate investment and asset manager has appointed Claire Haddon as head of asset management for its urban logistics strategy, Crossbay. Haddon joins from Oxenwood Real Estate, where she was responsible for overseeing a pan-European portfolio as head of asset management. Before Oxenwood, Haddon was a director at Ciel Capital and an acquisitions and investment manager at M7 Real Estate.
Cabot Properties – Kara Brown has been promoted to chief administrative officer, in addition to her existing roles as general counsel, chief compliance officer and secretary. Brown will continue to oversee legal, compliance, insurance and strategic human capital initiatives in her expanded capacity. As part of a series of leadership appointments at the firm, Justin Harvey and Mike McCarthy have been promoted to co-chief investment officers of Cabot Properties’ value funds, where they will assume regional leadership across Europe and the US, respectively. Damian Bailey has also been appointed as CIO of the firm’s core funds, succeeding Charlie Forbes, who will transition to vice chairman of investment committees for the core and value funds.
RW Capital – Peter Shear has been appointed chief investment officer at the Australasian real estate private credit and private equity investment manager. Shear is currently a non-executive director of US Masters Residential Property Fund and was the chair of the investment council at Blackwattle Investment Partners. At RW Capital, he will sit on the investment committee alongside Dan White, Stephen Girdis, James Hodgkinson and Andrew Jamson. He will focus on building relationships with capital partners in Asia-Pacific and GCC. Andrew Kim has been appointed to lead the firm’s newly opened Seoul office. Kim was formerly the director of client portfolio management at Invesco Real Estate Korea and head of global real estate at Hanwha Asset Management.
Stockdale Capital Partners – The Los Angeles-based real estate fund manager has made four executive-level appointments: Cole Haverty, vice president of acquisitions; Max MacArthur-Ricciuti, senior vice president of capital formation; Lauren Gausden, senior vice president of retail leasing; and Charles Sheaffer, head of engineering, property management. Stockdale recently opened an East Coast headquarters in New York City to support its expanding national presence.
Primaris Real Estate Investment Trust – Julian Schonfeldt has been appointed chief investment officer and will oversee investment activities and capital allocation initiatives, including acquisitions, dispositions and portfolio optimisation. Schonfeldt joins from Canadian Apartment Properties REIT, where he served as chief investment officer, and previously held senior roles in investment banking.
CBRE – Nikhil Shah has been appointed senior executive director for hotels and hospitality, capital markets, India, where he will oversee transaction execution, investment advisory and operational scale-up for hotel portfolios. Shah has two decades of experience in hospitality investment and transaction advisory. He will support CBRE‘s ambution to grow its hotels and hospitality business across Asia-Pacific and enhance collaboration between Indian capital markets and broader regional hospitality teams.
Cushman & Wakefield – Victoria Lake has been appointed chief financial officer for Asia-Pacific and EMEA, where she will lead all aspects of finance and partner with regional leadership to accelerate growth and profitability. Lake joins from Accenture, where she served as deputy CFO for the EMEA business, and previously held the role of managing director for Accenture corporate development.
CoStar Group – Nana Banerjee has been appointed as an independent member of the board of directors, where he will provide expertise in AI, centralized data, and advanced analytics. Banerjee joins from Pelmorex Corp, where he served as president and chief executive officer, and previously held the role of senior adviser and senior managing director at Cerberus Capital Management. With over 20 years of experience, he also spent several years at Verisk as group president and chief analytics officer. In his new role, he will support CoStar Group’s target of driving accelerated growth and enhancing its 3D digital twin and online marketplace technology through AI-native offerings.
Knight Frank – Arya Salari, Eddie Thomas and James Thistle have been promoted to proprietary partner, effective from 1 April. Salari currently serves as head of Knightsbridge lettings, while Thomas is a member of the European capital markets team specialising in cross-border industrial transactions. Thistle serves as head of London lease advisory.
New Era Energy & Digital – Ted Warner has been appointed chief financial officer, where he will lead the firm’s capital markets strategy and financing for large-scale infrastructure development. Warner joins from Northland Capital Markets where he led the energy, power and digital infrastructure practice, and previously served as chief financial officer for a private equity-backed oilfield services company. In his new role, he will support New Era Energy & Digital’s target of scaling its digital infrastructure platform and advancing the development of its Texas Critical Data Centers.
MT Finance – Adam Healy has been appointed business development manager. He joins from a specialist lender where he held various roles across sales, underwriting and relationship management.
NDRP Real Estate Investment Management — Onno Scheij has been appointed to lead the newly launched platform established in partnership with NDRP Real Estate to provide asset and investment management services across the Benelux region. Scheij joins the venture to oversee the identification, acquisition and optimisation of real estate portfolios for both institutional and private investors. He previously held senior roles in the sector, bringing expertise in value creation and direct return optimisation to the new organisation. In his new role, he will support NDRP Real Estate’s target of expanding its service offering and scaling its presence as a proactive manager in the Dutch and Belgian markets.
